The Canada Geese have been migrating in large flocks overhead from to the south this the last few weeks. Though I know they fly in daylight, in our years in southern New Hampshire we rarely see the migration occuring except when they stop to congregate on the Swasey River banks for a few hours rest before continuing on their journey. Because the river is close to adjoining properties inhabited by homes many people will feed the birds though it is discouraged. Some of these birds will make no bones walking right up to photographers they attract demanding a bite to eat. We often hear the calls of the flocks overhead flying well after midnight into the early dawn hours under cover of darkness, especially on bright moonlit evenings.
A quick early sunrise post. Waking up with the birds this morning from New Hampshire. Wishing you all a spectacular Wednesday. The seagulls and ducks are certainly enjoying themselves having a “wicked”chilly bath in the river!
No change from the days when I would return home from the grocery store and my children would tear through the bags to see what I purchased. The only difference is a little grey feathered creature now digs through bags of food looking for HIS favorites. As the photo shows, he then decided to climb up beside the stove and let me know he is ready for us to make dinner! Just a candid Sunday at home funny moment. Hope your day is going well!
